Pieter Jan Hagens

Pieter Jan Hagens (born 1958) became widely known to the general public as the presenter of the news programs Netwerk and Jules Unlimited. He is a seasoned television journalist and interviewer. As an experienced dagvoorzitter, he excels in interviews, talk shows, and debates.

He currently presents the well-known current affairs program EenVandaag and, since 2010, has also been a presenter of Buitenhof.

Until 2011, he hosted the immensely popular and widely viewed AVRO program Wie is de Mol?, taking over from Karel van de Graaf. After 2011, the role was passed on to Art Rooijakkers, as Pieter Jan Hagens chose to focus more on journalism.

His résumé also includes the award-winning documentary series Hoge Bomen. The biography of Prince Bernhard from this series received a Dutch Academy Award for Best Informative Television Program. His interview with King Willem-Alexander, on the occasion of the King’s 40th birthday, was also a memorable television moment.
